The next Star Trek Movie

I've been reading up on the next Star Trek Movie that is planned to be released on June 29, 2012. They got the ideas of bringing back William Shatner's James Kirk, and/or bringing in Khan. What do you guys think of this? Personally, I think they should do both, and rid the new Star Trek of the ugly J.J. Enterprise, and bring back Matt Jeffries's Enterprise.

That would be a waste if you ask me, Shatner is very old man and bringing him back from the dead would be yet another flawed time travel... of course they could toss him into JJ verse like that : en route to 24th century onboard Bird of Prey Spock guess was a bust and the crew ended up in JJVerse ... but this would be an insult for respectful Trek fan don't ya think, I mean that bringing Shatner just like Nimoy would be beyond far fetched. I say leave prime universe where it belongs and better do something creative, not involving war topics or Khan... I want good old fashioned exploration mission of the Enterprise just like they did in TMP or TNG series afterall this is what Trek is all about.

I honestly don't know what to expect from the next movie. I went into the 2009 movie expecting it to suck bad. I was more than a little surprised at the outcome. I agree with Rifleman80 that the Abrams Enterprise was nothing compared to the Jeffries Enterprise, but it has grown on me and has given a renewed sense of gritty realism to the new universe. I definitely think that they should do their own missions. Stop re-re-rehashing already used up ideas. Also, for God's sake leave the time line alone this time. We need a break. lol

I think it would be cool to see something like consequence movie, Klingons were attacked by Narada identified as Romulan ship and declares war with them, Federation charges Romulans to answer for destruction of Volcan homeworld and attack on Federation armada while Romulans takes the destruction of Narada as act of war, politics goes in and Enterprise crew is of course in the middle of serious trouble as they tries to prevent all three nations from war. This way the first movie plot would become much more serious.

Yeah but now that he WAS a romulan, klingons may want them to pay with blood for killing so many klingons.
